Cleo Sol's melodic and hypnotic voice made me forget the challenges I've faced recently. Last week, I battled physical illness, and this week, I've been engaged in a mental struggle. While I fought for my body last week, this week, I'm fighting for my mind. The mind is a powerful tool, capable of both harm and healing.
Monday was quite challenging, but Tuesday brought an unexpected change of plans. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend a performance by one of my favorite R&B artists, Cleo Sol, who integrates Christian elements into her music. The British singer-songwriter had three sold-out shows over three nights at Radio City Music Hall. It was exactly what the doctor ordered.
While listening to Cleo sing, "'Cause God will never fail you. God will never fail you. God sees your heart. I know you're in the dark, but It's a part of life. Things will get better," I found myself moved to tears. It felt as though this moment was divinely orchestrated to prepare me for the challenging week ahead. My faith was being tested in indescribable ways.
The voice of the Reason singer resonated powerfully throughout the auditorium, surpassing the quality of the recorded version. Few artists achieve such a distinction in live performance. Cleopatra Zvezdana Nikolic, known professionally as Cleo Sol, delivered performances of songs such as Things Will Get Better, When I'm In Your Arms, and Know That You Are Loved. The entire concert felt like a warm embrace, reaffirming my long-standing admiration for her artistry.

Sol's journey as a singer has been challenging at times. In 2011, she signed a record deal that ultimately did not succeed. Nevertheless, she made a comeback in 2017 as an independent artist after a musical hiatus. As a songwriter, she found her true calling while collaborating with her producer and now husband, Inflo. He has produced her last four albums, including "Mother," which was largely recorded with Cleo's baby in her arms. Additionally, the British artist is a member of an R&B group called Sault, which made its debut in 2019.
The week's finally done, and even though I'm still wrestling with my thoughts, I have to keep in mind what Mrs. Cleo Sol says: "Things will get better." Seriously, everyone needs to see her live—it's life-changing. Her performance was absolutely unforgettable!
