Welcome to admitting you live in a box. We all have lived in a box at some point or we're currently in one...a metaphorical box. This is where we trap our fears, we trap insecurities, and we create a barrier of safety from the change we run from.
I am currently living in a box of contentment. My wildest dreams came true and I forgot why I started the fight for my career in the first place. "I must network, I must continue to blog, and most of all I must make sure that I am noticed in the right way." I am constantly telling myself this, but what am I actually doing? Dragging around in this box of contentment.
We have a lot of obstacles in life, but we also have many choices. Will I choose to remain stagnant? Will I continue to have this negative energy surrounding me? Will I let the obstacles in my life control my outcome?
We are scared to hop out of the box, so we make excuses to compensate for the lack of change. If you are questioning your worth, find love and purpose within yourself. If you are stuck, move on those hesistancies. If you are rolling around in bed scrolling through Instagram right now, you better go clear your mind and take a walk. These are just examples, but these are the boxes we put ourselves into. It is easier said than done, but it is possible to break out of that bad relationship, move along with your career, or stand up for your future because no one else will.
Beyonce once said in an interview sometimes we're satisfied with what people tell us to be satisfied with. I believe we should not let anyone tell us what our limitations are. We should smash that box down and never look back.
I am great.
I am healing.
I will learn how to smash this box for eternity.
And that’s how you do it. Settling for less because we’re comfortable with the present. I understand this all too well, and I’m learning how to release myself from the shackles of this comfortability.
Ok but this was actually what I needed to see this morning so thank you 😌🙏🏾
